WINTER IS ON IT'S WAY.....

The evenings are starting to cool off here in California, and the days are still plenty warm. Before you know it we will be eating Turkey Dinner and opening Christmas Presents. That is after we get back from our Stamping Cruise - I am counting the weeks.
First card:Stamps: My Favorite Things
Copics: BV000, BV02, YG01, E000, E01, Blender Pen
Copics: Airbrushed background B000
Cardstock & Ribbon: Bo Bunny
Other: ultra fine Glitter & glue pen, adhesive
Spellbinders: Circle Die & Large Scallop Die

This beautiful winter cardstock by Bo Bunny has been screaming "play with me", since it arrived in the mail. I pulled out this stamp set by My Favorite Things and thought it was a perfect match. The scarf was extra fun by randomly adding soft broken lines of Green and Lavender ink to form a soft plaid design.

Second Card:
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge
Copics: G20, G82, G85, R22, R24, R29, E30, E33, YR21, YR24, YR21, YR24, blender pen
Other: Black Atyou Spica, foam tape, twine,
Cardstock: My Yellow Bicycle
Dies: Sizzix -
When this new paper by My Yellow Bicycle arrived, I knew I wanted to pair it up with this darling stamp set by OCL. I stamped the images and colored them with my Copics, then cut and popped them up on foam tape. Added a bit of twine and here is the result. I love this fun and playful card. Note that I used my R22 first on th sleigh then came in from the sides with R24 & R29.. then blended out with my lighter colors. Same with the deer.... I colored them with E30, then added E33 and blended out with E30. Same technique with the presents to leave a lighter look at the top, you may even want to leave some white space like I did on several of the presents and leaves.
Tip: Each time you add a layer of ink the color will appear darker. This is because the paper is becoming more and more saturated with color. It will continue to darken as you add layers of ink until the image is almost as dark as your marker nib. If you want to blend your image without adding color, try using a marker one or two shades lighter. This will add liquid to smooth out your image without adding more color. Don't use your blender pen to blend colors.
