Hello Everyone,

As many of you know I am now working for Crafter's Companion as well as teaching my Copic classes.  They both have alcohol markers so it's a perfect fit for me.  I can reach a larger group of people by offering classes for Spectrum Noir as well as Copic.  Most of the stores I teach in offer both, however some only have one or the other.  Be sure to check with the store of your choice to find out what they are offering.

To your left, I colored the same image twice.  One for those who will be using Spectrum Noir and the other for those using Copics.  Each have their color combinations listed for your convenience.  The image is Birthday Girl from the Humphrey collection at Crafter's Companion.. Isn't she darling!  LOVE HER....

Top: Colored with Spectrum Noir:  PP1, PP2, PP3, TB1, TB2, BGR1, BGR2, BGR3, IG1, IG2, IG3, Blender, TN1, CT1, CT4, CT2, White Gel Pen  For soft background, I added blender pen first then added TB1, the blender softened the color for the soft look I wanted. Same for the ground using E30

Bottom - Colored with Copic:  R81, R83, R85, B02, W1, W3, W5, C1, C3, C5, BG13, Y32, Y35, Y38, B000, E30 Blender, White Gel pen, I added blender pen to the background prior to adding the B000 for the background and ground.

I love both cards, I hope you do too.

Colorful Hugs,
Jennie

True Blue Friend - My Jazzie girl

There is no more true blue friend than my Jazzie girl. So I thought this might be fitting for the
Impression Obsession True Blue challenge. This is a challenge for me to write this. Go check out the other amazing and not so sappy postings at the Impression Obsession challenge

God gave me my Jazzie girl to be my best friend for five years. She was there for so many hardships that life had scheduled for me during that time. She always listened to me, comforted me, never complained and loved me unconditionally. Many of you know she had Cushings disease for over a year, and then in December she got a respiratory infection which set in diabetes. I spent most of my savings to save her. It was worth every penny I spent to see how happy she was for the last two months of her life. She began playing with her toys again, begging for her special doggie cookies, and playing tug of war with the puppy. Two weeks ago, I came from work and she was in deep distress. I chose to let her go in peace. It took me awhile to write this, but I am comfortable with my choice, and am glad that God gave her to me for those few precious years. I planted morning glories in the back yard in her honor, they just started popping up along the fence. When I look at those purple flowers, they will remind me of my Jazzie. I will always remember you my Jazzie girl... you were my best friend, I hope you find lots of stuffed animals with squeekies in Doggie Heaven. Shred them to your hearts desire and get that squeeker! Everytime, I see stuffed animal stuffing or a "UN" stuffed animal, I will think of you my sweet girl. You loved those things best when they were empty! Photos of her show how special she was to me... above with her little sister Bugsie, below with me and her cousin Sassy, and on my lawn chair in the desert where she sat with me while the boys rode their motorcycles. I knew that no matter where I was, or what I was doing, I could look down and she would be there. I still look for her sweet face.

Penny Black Alcohol Marker Card Class

Happy Spring!
Here are three of the cards we will be coloring at Scrapbooking Made Simple inSanta Clarita. Date is the last sunday of the month! Whew Hew.. classes normally sell out so you will want to reserve your seat asap!

I decided to do so me Penny Black spring images... I just love Penny Black images even though it has nothing to do with the last name.. LOL.. - No relationship other than fondness... My class layouts are clean and simple so that we can concentrate on the coloring rather than gluing a fancy

card together... Everyone gets a color copy so they can finish the card at home if we don't finish in class... that way everyone works at their own pace! Garden Kitty
Is she cheery or what! I love these bright spring colors. She was fun to color and is sure to delight even those folks who are not cat lovers.. LOL..this cat does not shed unless you count the scraps of paper on the floor that I dropped while making the card.. shhhh..

Green: YG03, YG63, YG67 Kitty: W1, W3, W5

And finally we have this darling little boy with pails of frogs... Reminds me of the day Austin and his friend Casey Smith went frog catching.. what an event that was.. they ran into a wild Cougar! Threw their frog catching stuff and ran .. it was

a long trek through wild blackberry bushes. A few scratches later (from the black

berries not cougar) they were safe at a neighbors house where we retrieved them by car! Scary, but they were soon back to frog hunting.

Coloring Hair/faces - Copic

Back by popular demand. This was posted several times here on my blog, but it has been requested a million times that I repost.. so here it is.. hope it helps.

Remember! people are often intimidated by coloring images that have faces. LOL.. it's just paper, if you mess up there is usually a round bin near by to toss it into and start over..... the only way you will bet better at coloring anything is to practice.. trust me, many of my images get tossed to the round file (needs emptied quite often...LOL).

Hugs,
Jennie
