Austin and Amanda in the Washougal High ASL show

Occasionally, I need to prove that I have a life other than coloring and teaching people to color. This is my son Austin Addison Black and
his amazing girlfriend of 4.5 years Amanda Syplinski. They are both high school seniors at Washougal High School, in Washoual WA. I know I say it everyday, but let this mom brag a bit! They are both Christians and active in their church youth group, both honor students,
Austin has completed one year of college (4.0) is a licensed pilot with his multi-engine and IFR certifications, has a 4.0 GPA, on the Mount Hood Ski Patrol, enrolled in OEC Outdoor Emergency Medical Care, speaks some Spanish, and great in Sign Language as well as English! Done a quite a bit of theater in his past and helped with many community programs like Aviation Camp. LOL... not an over achiever or anything.. LOL.. he really pushes himself. Amanda is already a certified Nursing Assistant and currently works with the elderly. What else could a mom ask for? I love these two with all my heart! Austin was the reason I was put on this earth! I am so glad that not only are they boyfriend and girlfriend, they have been best friends since middle school.

Stampendous Sneek Peek - Bling for Brooklin

YIPPIE.. I am going to be a great Aunt for the first time. My niece Amanda Eger is going to have a little Girl in March (my birthday month)... Not only that but she is naming the baby BrookLIN instead of LYN... did you know my middle name is Lin (yes I spelled it right - it is short for my mom's name LINDA)... he he... I am sooo excited. So, when I was asked to join the BLING challenge again this weekend I just had to use this amazing new image by Stampendous! Is it amazing or what! So perfect for Brooklin's shower card... (her colors are brown and pink but I like this and am going to make another in brown and pink).

Watch for this beautiful image in your stores soon... or ask for it!

Be sure to check out all of the other BLING projects made by our wonderful team.

We want YOU to play along with us! Stampendous - Botanical Clematis

Another beautiful creation by Jennie Black. This card was made by using two our our stamps....Cling Dream for the background and for the main focal point she used Botanical Clematis now available at your local stamp store! This beautiful image is only one of several new floral stamps that will be arriving in your local stamp store soon! Ask for them now.

Card was simple to make using only white, craft and black card stock, very simple straight cuts and a black ribbon. Very little embellishment required to make a beautiful card.

Stamps:

Botanical Clematis

Here is an amazingly beautiful creation by our blogstar Jennie Black. She used one of our newest releases "Botanical Magnolia". This flower just wants to jump off the page. It would be perfect for a Get Well Card, Mother's Day Card, Birthday Card or just a card to cheer someone special. Check out how she added cut the image and added the greeting as a separate piece! Just the added dimension the card needed. The added background color was added by airbrushing in the color.

Here is a close up of the flower detail. The details of the image are just amazing. The illustrator did such a fantastic job drawing these images that all you have to do is add a bit of color and presto! Tip: When coloring an image like this, remember that the illustrator (Fran of course) already did the work for you on where to put your shading and highlights. Add darker color in areas with hash marks, and less color where there are no hash marks. This makes coloring so easy!

STAMPENDOUS JANUARY CHALLENGE - Bling..... Bling...

Ok... well it's not too often you think of bling bling with a cow... LOL.. but even this little Cowlick image from Stampendous needs a bit of bling... I mean ALL girls need bling. Am I right?

I thought of doing something really blingy, but then thought that subtle bling is sometimes more fun... it's just that little added something that makes a card "complete" and "special". I love this little girl. It would be a great get well card, good luck card or even a birthday card with or without adding a greeting.

Image: New release from Stampendous Cowlick collection... Adorable little cows doing cute things. I LOVE lady bugs.... did you miss it on top of the sunflower? Those little extras always make the difference!
