Congratulations Michael Delcid... Donald Duck Fire Fighter

This image was so fun... to color. It was inspired by Michael Delcid who just graduated from the EMT program. I am very proud of him... Congrats Michael you have become a fine young man who will succeed in life... Hugs!
I found this image by doing a google search for "fire fighter Donald Duck coloring image" you can find so many different images that you can print on X-Press Blending Card then color. Too Fun and endless images!
This image actually has several different techniques in it....
Donald's Feathers: coloring white! I used W1, W3, & W5 to create the gray/white.
Red Jacket & Hat: R20, R22, R24, R29 & R59. I even added a bit of C7 for the real dark shadows.
Yellow/orange: Y32, Y35, Y38, YR18 Y16
Buckle & number: black spica pen
white highlights: White Gel pen (it kind of blobbed but it's too hard to fix once it is on the image so I left it.)
Sky: B0000
Asphalt ground: dotted with the tip of my sketch markers in order: 0, W1, W3, W5, W1 using less of each color in order. applying wet on wet so that the edges of each dot softens.

Hugs,
Jennie

Zebras for my dear friend

A dear friend of mine has a condition that uses Zebra's as their mascot or sign for the condition Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. These stamps are for her.. of course I can't find her email, so I thought I would send it this way. The stamps are on hold for you at Stamp Addict if you want them... in San Diego! Of course anyone else who wants them can get them there too....
Had a great day at Stamp Addict. Taught two classes that went amazingly well.
Hugs everyone.. I need time to create so I can post some good stuff for you....
How about a picture of my new puppy... Bugsie is now five weeks old and I have not met her yet.

Copic Cupcakes... Too Fun

These Copic Cupcakes are SO FUN. They are actually brownies baked in cute little paper cups then set inside a plastic champagne glass and a ribbon tied on. The little flowers are made with a Tim Holtz die...

The Best part is the frosting... we ADDED FOOD COLORING TO A NEW CLEAN BLANK COPIC MARKER and airbrushed on the color... It was SO EASY and totally fun. Give it a try...
Note: this is not endorsed by Copic as it is not FDA approved.... but so fun...

A Stampendous Thank you to my friends!

I am a very lucky girl to have all of you as my friends. Here is a card dedicated to YOU... It was a simple fold but gives a WOW every time I use it... Just fold your half sheet of cardstock (11" x 5 1/2") card in half, then fold the front in half again flipping towards you... the inside greeting is normally cut the same size as the top image so that when the card is closed you cannot see it.. then when you open it - it's all three D like... Too fun. I added a little bit of Ranger Glossy Accents to the tiny red flowers to add a bit of Pizazz.

I am so into this spring paper!

Have a sunshining day!
Jennie

A Stampendous Summer is on it's way!

What better way to celebrate that summer is on it's way than with a beachy card. This image is from Stampendous.. released in January in time for some great summer cards... Being a boater, scuba diver and beach lover I absolutely love this image.

The sand was colored using various E50's just dotting first with the lightest then gradually going darker and darker using less of each color as I got darker... then I went back to my lightest marker and dotted some more to kind of melt them together.. I love the outcome.

This stamp also comes with this wavy greeting that I just totally love! I stamped it onto yellow dotted paper and cut around it for a fun little flair to my card.

Then I added a paper flower for the finishing touch!

Colors Used:
seashell: R20, R22, R24
Hull: E30, E33, E37
Sail: BG10, BG72, blender
Coral: V000, BV02
sky: B000
Yellows: Y21, Yr24
Prima Flowers: colored in with R24 & Y21
Sand: E50, E51, E53, E55

Cardstock by: Bo Bunny

Visit your local store to order this fun image! It comes with the matching greeting!

Heartfelt Creations - Scrapbooking Made Simple

Heartfelt Creations - Spring Cardinal card.

I received this wonderful stamp as a gift from Scrapbooking Made Simple in Santa Clarita. It is an amazing store, and if you can't make it to their store in person, be sure to go to their website and order from there! How simple is that! Not only can you order this stamp but also the coordinating Spellbinders dies... they are to dye die for... LOL.. sorry. Order Here!

Here I colored the image then mounted onto a simple 6 x 6 card.

As always, start with your lightest color first, then add your next lightest color and so on.
When blending two colors
together, use the lighter of the two colors touching each other to blend them together. IE: R22, R24, R2
7 use the R22 to blend where the R22 & R24 join together, and use the R24 to blend where the R24 and R27 join together
The image was colored with the following colors.
Bird: R22, R24, R27, R59 (less of each color as you get darker focusing on the areas with more hash marks or areas behind other areas IE: below the wing is darker to make the wing look popped up closer to the eye).
Cherries: Base is Y32, Y35 then I added R22, R24, R27, and a Bit of R59. Again using less of each color as you go darker. (I showed a photo of cherries prior to adding a final layer of R22. The yellow was too bright for my liking so I just added a layer of R22 to redden it up a bit).
Leaves: YG01, YG03, YG63, YG67 again using less of each color as you go darker.

New Family member & house news & Artful Horizons

Meet Bugsie! She is my new adorable teeny tiny yorkie puppy. We have not met yet and won't meet until mid July. She currently lives with my sister and doggie mommie in Portland, TN. . Right now she is only three weeks old and too tiny to come live with me. Bugsie was the nickname my mom and dad always called me. This little one is like a little love "bug" thus the name Bugsie.

The next photo is a tiny workbook I am working
on for the Artful Horizons event in Palm Springs later this month. Its actually a teeny tiny version of my Copic Techniques class that can be done in an hour. Of course it is not as extensive as my normal three hour class, but gives a good taste of what Copic markers is all about.

I have moved into my new house and today is the first day I hope to work in my office. I hope to create, create, create for my June and July classes. I will share soon. Sorry about not posting much lately, but life has been full of unstopping events.

My dad will be here tomorrow from his home in Brazil. He will be coming to live with me for a few months while he has cancer treatment. This will be avery trying time for my family, but I am trying to look at it as a time to re-bond with my dad.

Colorful hugs everyone!
Jennie
