Bee-utiful Bee-Day To You!

As promised.. a new image to view!

I finally found time to color! Been loving family visiting, but missed my coloring! This image was fun and easy to color. It's a Birthday Bee by The Peddler's Pack. I was in a bright and cheery mood, so I colored it with lots of bright colors. Colors are listed below. Also used liquid crystal for the bee wings, nose and feet... too fun! The card is pretty busy, but so is the image with so many arms and legs! A mom needs this many arms - can you relate?

Puppy is two pounds of mischief! I love her, but oh my goodness... she is packed with dynamite! She will be a challenge!

Summer Family Fun.... New images soon! Promise

Hello Everyone,
Summer is a time for family. I cut my classes to a minimum and spend time with those who are closest to me!
My son, parents and other loved ones mean so much to me. So forgive me for not posting new images, I have just not made the time to do them. Austin will be a senior in high school this fall and then off to college after next summer! Gotta get my time with him while I can! Here are a few photos... I promise to get some images up soon... the ones I have done I can't share....YET. Check out that photo of mom and dad on the innertube... Dad is over 70 and has Parkinson's and cancer.... his treatment is going great and we took him out for a great day on the lake.. he loved it! This is a photo that I will always cherish...

Let's see... we did Lake Havasu, Lake Per
ris, Disneyland, Fishing, Family dinners at my house, learned I am going to be a Great Auntie, Antique shopping, Oak Glen, Water Park, quiet dinners and evenings with Andy, Hmmm have not done the beach..... amazing we will have to put that on the list. We still have another trip to Havasu with Andy's family.. I can't wait.

Blog Candy Winner! Donna

I hope you have all been having a great summer so far! I have been super busy, playing, boating, and teaching tons of classes... so fun.

The winner of the Blog candy is.... listed below... Donna, please send me our mailing info and I will get your hand signed copy of the book to you right away!

Congrats!

Donna said...Wow, asking me to choose my favorite Copic Trio is like asking a kid to pick his favorite dessert at the bakery! But if I were pinched to do so, the frosting on my cupcake would be R81, R83, and R85. I'm a pink kind of gal and layer it with some dark chocolate browns, E55, E57, and E59 and I'm in dessert heaven! :-)

Help me name this class.. I originally called it dots and doodles. It is adding texture, patterns etc to the image. dotted ground, fabric patterns to the clothing, water squiggles in the water etc... I need a name for the class that is snazzy and simple. Dots and doodles is not working for me.. LOL... Of course a prize will be sent for the best class name.

Slow and Steady - Copics..... Our Craft Lounge Stamps

LOL.. I am on a roll this week with posts.. making up for taking 10 days off from coloring and teaching... I start teaching again tomorrow and should be prepping, but card making is suiting me just fine lately! LOL....

Most of you know I am a turtle nut! Love those creatures especially sea turtles.... Our Craft Lounge released a few new stamps last month and some how this critter passed me up. Thanks Kendra for sending him to me... you guys can find the set at Collective Journey in Redlands, Scrapbooking Heaven in Westminster, or Pages from the Heart in Monrovia... or if you are out of the area try here. Oh rats.. forgot the spica for the bugs wings.. gotta go back and add that.. sorry it's not in the pic.

colors used: R22, R29, YG01, YG21, YG25, YG17, B02, B000, B05, N1, N4

dots and doodles ground again... addicted to this technique right now. E40, W1, W2, W4

techniques used: dots and doodles, fading to white on turtle back, on paper blending, cut out images and glue them on... too fun! I could have added a few green dots to the turtle too if I wanted to add more doodles! LOL....
