Hello!
Well, today I have a very fun image to share with you by Craft and me. It's called Cali Girl. So fitting for me being from California and loving the Cali girl stuff! (beach, sun, fast life). This post is to show you great money and time saving ideas.
Here I used the same exact stamp, and basically the same card layout to make three totally different cards. All I did was change the colors I used and like magic three different looks. Figuring out your layout is part of the time consuming things about card making. So double up on your ideas! Most likely you are not going to send them to same person, so it does not matter if they are similar! Sometimes I think hmmmm I don't have any new images to color - well then I need to pull out one I already colored and change it up a bit using different colors (seasons, holidays etc).
Tip for today! When coloring images with lots of hair be sure to remember proper placement of your shading. I always divide my images up into hills and valleys. The top of each hill gets the highlight and the valleys get the shading or darker colors. However, you also need to remember layers..... there is always a shadow or darker color on the back layer where it meets a top layer. Take a close look at the image up close and you can see my hills and valleys. I also shaded next to her face on her right side because that would be layered or behind her face. Eyes are a lot of fun too! I used darker shades at the top and got lighter as I worked my way to the bottom.
