March Alcohol Marker Classes - Copic & Spectrum Noir

Hi Everyone!

Here are a few more samples for some of my March Classes. I am so into flowers right now and my students seem to love them. These images are both by Impression Obsession. Are they great or what?

I had fun adding a bit of texture to these flowers. I didn't blend them as much as I normally do and I love the effect.

Tip: To leave more texture - blend less and let each layer dry a bit more than when trying to get a nice smooth blend of colors.

Tip: Note that I put the highlight in the center of many of these petals. That is to show that the petal is bending in the middle causing the light to hit the center of the petal stronger than other areas of the petal. Highlight is often shown only on the tips of flowers, this shows a variation on where to put highlight on flower petals.

Enjoy your day
Jennie

COPIC: R21, R22, R24, G20, G82, G85, And a bright & dull yellow like Y15 & YR24
SPECTRUM NOIR: Reds CR1, CR3, CR7, DG1, DG2, DG3, CT4, GB5

March Alcohol Marker Classes - Copic & Spectrum Noir

Totally love these springy colors! Both image are by Impression Obsession and will be projects in my March Alcohol Marker classes. I hope you can join us for one of my classes.

Both are colored with alcohol markers (see color list below). The phone is layered in several layers popping up the phone as well as the dial. I had so much fun coloring the phone and cutting it out for this card. Both cards use the same colors (the flowers don't have brown). Basic coloring was used focusing the darker colors in the creases of the flowers where there would be more shadow.

Note that in my flower card I colored the bottom of each flower petal darker than the top of the petal. This was done to show layering. It shows that the lighter top of the petal is in front of the darker petal behind it.

SPECTRUM NOIR COLORS: Reds CR1, CR3, CR7, Yellows CT1, CT2 CT4, greens DG1, DG3, DG3, and a brown

COPIC COLORS: Y11, Y15, Y17, G20, G82, G85, E35, R20, R22, R24 (No oranges just used my R24 for the yellow/red color)

NOTE: I saw a similar card to this phone card at CHA I believe it was made by Dina Kowal on the Impression DT...... I do not normally copy cards, but I just LOVED her card and copied her layout! Thanks Dina!

Fall Cards

Images: Impression Obsession.
Colored by Me...
Hello Everyone...
Wow, summer has been a blast. I got to spend some real quality time with my son which was absolutely wonderful! Now it is back to stamping, colorin and card making. I leave for New Mexico in the morning to teach a Copic Certification... next month I will be flying to Salt Lake City and to Oakland for Certification classes. Gotta make up for taking off most of August.

I am really coming back to my local stores for card Copic coloring and card making. Here are a few sneek peeks of a few cards I have been making. I kept the layout of the cards simple, because of all the detail in the image. Both of these images are by Impression Obsession - I love Gary Robertson's drawings.

Details and photos of cards in September classes to be posted soon! I sent out samples today, so they should be posted in your local store within a few days. See ya all soon!

CC Designs & more! (Blog candy reminder)

Here are the cards we will be doing at Collective Journey in August. Hope to see you there! Two images are by CC Designs --- they have the cutest little girl stamps! LOVE them! The watering can is a beautiful image by Impression Obsession - their images are so easy to color! Last but not least is the cute little mouse by Stampavie another of my favorite stamp companies. Isn't he cute (never knew rodents could be so cute!) I added Our Craft Lounge Sparkle Fluff to his hat and it really finished him off.. Can't believe my classes are begging for Christmas already!

I am counting down the days till CHA... I leave Sunday! Whew Hew.

PS.. DONT FORGET THERE IS BLOG CANDY ON EARLIER POST!

Rowboat - Colored with Copics

Here is a beautiful and simple image to color. The stamp artist (Gary Robertson by Impression Obsession) did such a great job drawing the image that it is easy to color. May look intimidating but give it a try.

I added a bit of clear Atyou Spica glitter pen to the water which you probably can't see very good, but it added just enough shimmer to the water to add that extra something to the entire card.
Colors I used were: B01 water, B000 sky, E07 + R27 lighthouse, E30+ E33 + E37, clear Atyou Spica (on water), C1 bucket, E30 + E33 + E37 boat, sand, post, earth. used blender to soften color under boat, Paper is by Graphic 45 (of course my fav). Die was made by my dear friend Debbie on one of her fancy machines (Thanks Deb). Punches by Stampin Up. Please ignore the big glue blobs .. grrrr i didn't see it until now - oh well - proof that I make boo boos all the time. grrrowl....
Have a wonderful day! I will be in Vegas this weekend teaching consumer copic technique classes at Scrappin' Time and then teaching the Copic Certification on Saturday... I am hoping to find some time on Saturday before my class to lay in the sun by the pool and just veg out! Whew hew!
